Since its founding nearly 150 years ago, Christ Church has built a rich legacy of faith, grounded in the generosity and commitment of those who came before us.

In 2021, during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, Christ Church took a leap of faith and launched a five-year capital campaign to carry that tradition of generosity forward and help ensure that our parish would continue to thrive for generations to come.

With joy and thanksgiving, we are grateful to celebrate the successful completion of our campaign, "Sharing Our Faith, Securing Our Future".   What began as a hopeful prayer for our future has been brought to life through our faith, commitment, generosity, and the trust of our parish community in God's abiding presence among us. This was truly an all-parish effort. 

Through God's grace and the generosity of the parish, we have been blessed to surpass our original $5 million campaign goal, reaching a final total of almost $5.7 million in pledges.  Because of this extraordinary support, we have achieved our shared vision of making Christ Church more resilient for the future by:

• Building Our Endowment:  Our unrestricted endowment has grown from $2 million to $5 million, helping ensure a lasting legacy for future generations, while strengthening our ability to respond to unforeseen challenges and future opportunities.

• Making our buildings and grounds more modern, accessible, safe, and welcoming:   The new accessible entrance and facilities in Parish House now not only better serve the needs of our own community, they reflect our vision of welcoming others in our Diocese and beyond.  We have also completed construction of the beautiful playground at Church on the Hill that anchors our gathering patio and overlooks the also newly landscaped, preserved, and now more sustainable Churchyard.

• Designating 10% of the campaign total to serving those in need in God's Kingdom outside of our parish: The first $167K of cash gifts were used to honor our grant commitments to our nonprofit partners when Rummage revenue was lost due to the pandemic.   This empowered our nonprofit partners to continue to serve God's children in need during this challenging time.  The balance remaining will now be used to create an enduring fund that is designated exclusively to outreach and service, enabling us to continue to grow our faith by growing in service.

This campaign was always about more than bricks and mortar.   It was about building a stronger foundation for ministry, outreach, fellowship and service -- now and for future generations. 

We close this campaign with grateful hearts — grateful for our faith in what lies ahead, for our steadfast belief in our shared mission, and for the extraordinary generosity of this parish community.  We now look ahead with renewed hope and confidence, trusting that God will continue to guide and bless Christ Church for generations to come.
