Builders Friday Fun & Serve for Families
What better way to observe Lent and usher in the weekend than connecting with other families, doing good works, and not having to cook for the kids? After filling 150 sandwich kits for Connections for the Homeless, there will be games for kids and a toast for the adults. Pizza, salad and dessert will be served to include gluten free and veggie options.
The Gift of Aging: An 8-Week Book Study
A supportive group focusing on aging well and wisely. We begin by discussing The Gift of Aging, a readable, engaging book ($20) written by a physician and a biologist. It explores many aspects of healthy aging. The book is divided into four sections: I. Caring For Your Mind; II. Caring for Your Body; III. Caring for Yourself and Your Family: Practical Planning; and IV. Caring for Your Soul. Topics also include grief and end-of-life preparations.
For more information, please contact Rev. TJ.
Confirmation Class
Confirmation is a two-year program designed for youth in grades seven and eight where they explore their relationship with themselves, each other, the Church, and God. The youth will delve into the overarching theme of the Church’s Tradition as they seek to understand how and why Episcopalians worship the way we do. Accompanied by faithful adult mentors, confirmands will be encouraged to learn about their faith by asking questions and openly expressing doubts. There will be opportunities for large group discussions as well as small group reflections, giving the confirmands opportunities to create meaningful relationships with their peers and their adult mentors.
For more information, please contact Wendy.
Coffee and Conversations
Experience the joy of being part of the Christ Church community by getting to know your fellow worshipers at this casual social gathering. Gluten free and kid-friendly treats will be offered.
Lenten Interactive and Intergenerational Program: Teddy Bear Sunday
Bring a little extra love to worship as we collect new and gently‑used stuffed animals to donate to children in need. You’re also invited to bring your own well‑loved stuffed friends for a bit of “tender loving repair”—we’ll have a small mending station available to help stitch up seams and fluff up favorites. Come celebrate comfort, compassion, and childhood joy as we share these soft reminders of God’s love with our community. All ages are welcome—because everyone needs a hug now and then.
For more information, please contact Rev. TJ.
Youth Group
Youth Group provides a welcoming space/time for youth in grades 7 to 12 to have fun, unwind, reflect, and serve others. It will serve as an opportunity for them to retreat from their normal routines, enjoy a meal, and have fun and fellowship with each other. There will be opportunities for off-campus fun activities (bowling, mini golf, movies, etc.) as well as offerings to use their time and talents to serve others. The focus will be on creating an environment of ‘being’, rather than on ‘doing’. For more information, please contact Wendy.
