What about children?

We love our kids, and they are always welcome in our worship. If you prefer, there are also many options for families during our services. We have a professionally staffed nursery, and multiple education opportunities for children of all ages!

For more information about how our children participate in worship, contact our Director of Children’s Ministry.

What should I wear?

You will see various styles on display at any given moment at Christ Church. So, whether you prefer to get dressed up or remain a bit more casual, just come!

What if I am new to Episcopal services?

Everything you will need to participate in our services can always be found in our service bulletin. You will be given a bulletin when you arrive at the service. You will also find special announcements about upcoming events, so we invite you to give our bulletin special attention each week.

The Peace

Immediately before we share Communion, you will be invited to show those around you a sign of God’s peace. This is a special moment in our services where we welcome those around us by shaking hands or flashing a peace sign. This is done as a means of welcoming each other and acknowledging our belovedness as God’s children.

Who can receive Holy
Communion?

In the Episcopal Church, we believe that Communion is what draws us together and prepares us for our work of love. We believe that there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God, so everyone is invited to share in Holy Communion. Gluten free hosts are available for those with an allergy. You can also receive a blessing from a priest if that is your preference. Simply cross your arms over your chest to indicate that you would like a blessing.

You might have more questions…

We have tried to point out some common questions that you may have if you are less familiar with Episcopal worship. But we realize that worship is a unique experience for each person. The most important thing to us is that you are comfortable and able to participate as you feel called to do so.

So, if you have any questions about anything that happened during one of our services, just ask us – we would love to chat more with you!
