Beginning with R2-D2's stubborn trek into the desert, the droids of the Star Wars universe turn out to be surprisingly rich icons of fidelity, devotion, and care. In the first two sessions of our series on ethics, science fiction, and AI, we'll watch some beloved film clips, and maybe some less familiar ones, that ask what these fictional machines can teach us about remaining fully human in the age of Big Tech.
