Our new Youth Minister is Megan Miller. She is currently the Religion and Campus Ministry
Chair at Cristo Rey New York High School. She will start at Christ Church July 1, 2018 when her semester is over. A native of the Midwest, Megan graduated from Indiana University and the University of Pennsylvania, both with highest honors. She used her Teaching Certificate from Penn to enter the Teach for America program in inner city Philadelphia. Moving to NYC, she received her Masters of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, which led to her current job.
Megan’s passion for teaching and shepherding youth was apparent to the Youth and Adults on the Search Committee. The energy and vision for Youth Ministry we saw in her visit to Christ Church was supported by her outstanding references. She is an Episcopalian and will enter the ordination process as she settles in to her new job. She is very clear that her ministry will still be to Youth when and if she is ordained. We are working to have Megan travel to Winnetka for a weekend or two before July to meet more of the parish and to look for housing.
