Christ Church Creative Dance - For Adults
Why should your kids have all the fun? Here’s YOUR chance to dance!
Come join us for a fun, non-competitive dance class right here at Christ Church. While your kids are at choir or sports or some other activity, you can get your groove on with other adults in the community. Class will be held on Mondays, 4:45-5:45, Oct. 8-Nov. 26.
Our instructor is Christ Church parishioner and professional dance teacher Amanda MacDonald. Amanda teaches using Brain-Compatible Lesson Planning developed by a renowned dance educator (and New Trier graduate.) Each class includes a warm up, mini-combinations, improvisational exercises, and time for reflection. We’ll include pop songs from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s as well as contemporary hits and Broadway. You’ll also get tips for healthy alignment and well-being. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow you to stretch and bring a towel to sit on.
We are ALL dancers – no experience required! Open to the community, so bring a friend!
